We have had a enjoyable, yet busy, long Easter weekend.
It started off Thursday night by doing a mad rush of landscaping. We knew it was forcasted to rain all day Friday, so we worked super hard from the time we got done with work until sundown. We are able to complete our front flower beds and are very happy with the final project. My dad was a huge help!
Friday we did some shopping at the outlet mall (we found some super deals), and watched some movies. Saturday we enjoyed a trip to the Indianapolis Zoo. It was a bit chilly, in the 40's, but really the perfect late morning/early afternoon to go. All the animals were out and about...and the flowers/plants were gorgeous. Today, Easter Sunday we ate a HUGE brunch at a hotel here in Columbus. It was delicious, but nothing like my mom's cooking. I'm thankful my dad was here with us. It's so hard for me to be away from family on holidays.
Inbetween times the past few days we got lots of little projects done. A new mailbox put up, new weather striping on the doors, put in new window screens, filled holes in the laminate floor, mowed/reseeded the lawn. It was nice we were able to relax, but also get lots of stuff done!
