This past March I was lucky enough to stumble upon a great second job...English as a second language tutoring. I learned about a private company called Global LT from a friend of mine, and thought "hey, might as well give it a try." I've had 3 students from March until June, and now recently have just added 3 more students. All from Sweden, which is super fun for me being a Swede too. I have 5 children between the ages of 2-5 and 1 adult that I tutor. Basically what I do is go into these families homes, and speak English to them. I bring activities (books, games, art projects, toys, etc...) with me for the children and we play together and talk. It is GREAT fun. The adult that I'm with just wants conversation, so I go over to her home and talk with her for an hour. I end up putting in around 10 hours a week.
This Friday I took two of my little boys to the Indianapolis Children's Science Museum. (Even though we were supposed to go to the zoo...but it was CLOSED!) We had great fun. There are so many fun things for kids (and adults) to explore. They had a dinosaur exhibit going on that was amazing.
