One of the reason why we bought our house is when we first came to see it, we saw kids running around everywhere. This development is plump full of children. I love the fact that everyone allows kids to run through their driveways and yards...even if the kids aren't theirs.
It's so much fun to watch them play outside. They run from house to house, gathering up kids. The weather here today is amazing, and there was only 1/2 day of school...so they've been out in full force. The older boys next door to us like making up contraptions. Today they had a wagon pulled behind a bike...and kids were "surfing" in it. I know many of the kids from subbing so they'll yell out "Hi Mrs. Rawal!" Or "Hi Mrs. R!" and then race over to chat with me on their scooters/bikes/skateboards.
It's a true joy, for both of us, to have kids all over our neighborhood.
